The Discovery Call
It all starts with a 20-minute phone call to discuss your needs and see if we are a good fit. Most projects will require months of working together, so it is important that we "click" and have a clear understanding of expectations. You are inviting me into your home, and probably some aspects of your life. Consider this much like an "interview".
The Consultation
The consult is typically a 2-3 hour meeting where we get into all the details of the project in the actual space. We review your "wish list", "must-haves", and what getting these realistically entails. By the end of this meeting, you will have learned a great deal and will have gained a designer's perspective. If you choose to take on the rest of your project from here, then you get a detailed, itemized shopping and to-do list.
If you are continuing with a full-service or renovation project, then you move on to the next steps outlined below.
Design and Deposit Agreement
Once we have agreed on all aspects to be completed on your home project, you will be presented with a design agreement in full detail of the scope of work, along with deposit and payment schedule.
Phase One : Design
The design process takes several weeks to develop and pull together. My first presentation typically offers at least 2 if not 3 design options. After the initial design meeting, it is not uncommon to have a few revisions. Please keep in mind that great design is something that evolves as we process your space and needs together. All design, furniture selections, finishings, etc are signed off by you, the client. Once all have been approved, we proceed to next steps.
Phase Two : Order Product & Work with Trade
Victoria Rue Interiors takes care of all of your orders, follow-through, coordinating with trade people and contractors as needed. Project management is handled on our end, so you don't have to. If you have ordered product, we take care of receiving and inspecting goods, as well as setting up white glove delivery.
Phase Three: The Reveal
Save the best for last! Installations of any custom built-ins, window treatments, kitchens, baths, etc are all overseen by Victoria Rue Interiors. I am present at all white glove deliveries as well. Depending on your project, this phase may be installed in parts over several days, weeks, or months; all projects are unique.
